Adopt-an-Item Food Drive

The Little Elm Area Food Bank invites individuals, businesses, community organizations, churches, social, and homeowner groups to join our Adopt-an-Item drive. Items in need of adoption are those that will be included in each grocery bag distributed to families serviced by the Food Bank. During 2018, we helped more than 2,500 members in our community and provided over 11,000 lunches to children that would not otherwise have a lunch in our Kids Eat Free summer program.

In an effort to keep our shelves sufficiently stocked, we ask for your pledge of support by providing the Food Bank with one or more of the requested items at least four times throughout the year. Please view our current food item request form. Because of your generous support:

  • The food bank shelves will have a continuous supply with which to operate.
  • You will help provide a family of four with two weeks of groceries.
  • You can plan your giving by watching for sales of adopted items.
  • You are helping to ease the burden of difficult times for your neighbor.
