Volunteer
If you are interested in a regular schedule or can respond on short notice, we need you! We rely on volunteers to receive donations of food, personal care items, and baby products, prepare the donations for placement on the food pantry shelves, and assist with stocking and organizing the pantry, as well providing referral information to clients who visit the Food Bank.
Food Bank volunteers also pick up donations from area grocery stores, schools, churches, and businesses.
Volunteers are also needed to provide a variety of clerical and administrative duties. We are also seeking volunteers with expertise in fields such as public relations, grant application writing, and fundraising.
If you would like to volunteer at the food bank please contact us at 972-294-4061.
Please note: The food bank no longer participates in court-ordered community service programs.
Give
Churches, businesses, schools, scouts, or any group of enthusiastic people can conduct a food drive. Dedicated people realize it takes local involvement to solve a local problem. Food drives are critical to the ongoing mission of the Little Elm Area Food Bank.
The Little Elm Food Bank estimates over 75,000 pounds of can and package foods are needed to furnish a minimum level of support to those in need.
Start early, set a goal, set up a central collection location, and have fun!
Donate
Cash donations are equally important and are used to replenish the food pantry. The Food Bank needs the ability to purchase specific food items or to replenish the pantry when food items are running low.
Please consider a cash contribution to the Little Elm Area Food Bank. We hope that you will include us in your annual contribution budget.
